The M1 in West Yorkshire was closed northbound between J38 (Haigh) and J39 (Durkar) due to a collision, National Highways said.
All emergency services were in attendance and National Highways traffic officers were assisting with traffic management.
“If this closure impacts on your planned route, please allow extra journey time. Plan ahead, you may wish to re-route or even delay your journey,” National Highways said.
