According to the brand, it contains a blend of five essential vitamins that help protect hair from dryness and friction from pillows. The formula also includes niacinamide (vitamin B3) and plant-based proteins, which the brand says help strengthen the hair fibres, while iris root extract and glycerin provide additional hydration without leaving hair sticky or greasy.

This is suitable for all hair types and is described as a ‘multitasking oil that smooths frizz and seals split ends’ and leaves hair glossy and smooth. To use it, shoppers just need to apply one to three drops through wet hair, and then air dry or smooth through dry strands after a blowout to calm frizz.

Another option is the John Frieda Frizz Ease All-in-1 Extra Strength Serum 50ml for £7.99 from Superdrug. This product does a range of things, such as offering heat protection up to 220 degrees, ‘combats frizz and resists 90% humidity,’ and has argan, coconut and moringa oil infused in it, the site says.
The Kérastase serum has been rated a high 4.8 out of five stars from more than 900 reviews on LookFantastic. One person said: “This overnight serum is magical. I have frizz prone, long bleached hair, I applied this serum to my hair while it was still damp and left overnight, it has a lovely daisy fragrance.
