Expert’s Vinted hack sees sales and views double overnight

The expert and reseller conducted her own experiment to see how changing one thing on her Vinted profile would affect sales — and she ended up with double

A Vinted seller has shared her tried and tested hack that saw her sales and views double. There are a number of different tips and tricks you can try to get better results when selling on Vinted.

From making sure your product titles and descriptions are written in a way where people will find what they’re looking for if they search to uploading during peak times known as ‘the golden window’, there are many ways to get your items in front of more buyers on the app.

One Vinted expert and reseller, Nicola ran her own experiment over the last few months to test a theory on the platform, which is the leading second-hand fashion marketplace in Europe.

At the end of the experiment she found that her sales had increased by around 50% after changing one thing about how she sells on the pre-loved platform.

Nicola said: “I’ve been researching this for several months now because I wanted to be absolutely sure of a difference and taking all of that coincidence stuff out of it, taking seasonal factors out of it so I can bring you cast iron results.

“Conclusively I can say with absolute conviction, that sending a nice non salesy friendly message to anyone who favourites an item of yours increases your sales.

“Not only does it increase your sales, it increases sales by 30 to 50%. I am regularly seeing 50% more sales in any given week where I am messaging people that are favouriting.

“I know it can be cringey, I am the least salesy person on this planet.”

One woman said: “I always send a message with an offer. It’s not pushy at all, nothing like ohhh I can post today etc. It’s very simple and polite and doesn’t require a reply either if people just want to ignore it.”

A second said: “Oh I agree, I’ve had full on conversations about my items and how to style them an it works.”

Another user said: “I’ve done it a lot but one time I had someone says she doesn’t buy off pushy people. I really wasn’t being pushy so I blocked her, you know when you’ll get a problem with someone like that.”

A third said: “This does surprise me because I’m happy getting an offer but hate getting a message but will try it.”

Vinted has millions of users across the world using the platform to sell and buy pre-loved clothes, accessories and gadgets.
