Britney Spears’ younger sister hopes to prove her ‘worth’ in grueling Special Forces reality series 

She rose to fame as the younger sister of pop icon Britney Spears.

But now Jamie Lynn Spears is hoping to stand on her own as a contestant on the new reality show, Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.

In a teaser for the upcoming FOX series, which sees celebs undergo real challenges used to select Special Forces soldiers, Jamie, 31, reveals she hopes to become known as more than just Britney’s little sister.

Jamie, who appears fresh from a grueling challenge with messy hair and a sweaty complexion, admits when asked what she hoped to get out of the program: ‘Growing up my sister [Britney Spears] became worldwide famous. I guess I just wanna like [proving that] I’m just like worth something.’

Britney has had a fraught relationship with her family due to her conservatorship, which was was freed from after 13 years in 2021. 

She feuded with her sister Jamie earlier this year over her memoir Things I Should’ve Said, and accused her younger sibling of telling ‘crazy lies’ in the book.  

Jamie and her parents Lynne and Jamie Spears were also left off the guest list for Britney’s wedding to Sam Asghari in June.

Spears is just one of numerous stars taking part in the rigorous reality series.

‘My idea of this course was about what I could get out of it, and how it’s all about what I can give,’ Danny Amendola admitted. 

The types of challenges the contestants undergo are truly death-defying.

The teaser sees the stars tightrope across a canyon, push a vehicle through the dessert, and even get submerged underwater while strapped into a car.

Other celebrities also appearing in the new series include Hannah Brown, Tyler Florence, Kate Gosselin, Montell Jordan, Gus Kenworthy, Nastia Liukin, Carli Lloyd, Beverley Mitchell, Kenya Moore, Mike Piazza, Dr. Drew Pinsky and Anthony Scaramucci.

Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test debuts with a special two-hour event on Wednesday, January 4 at 8 PM ET on Fox.
