Emmerdale’s Kelvin Fletcher vows to return to the soap as Andy Sugden
Kelvin Fletcher has vowed to ITV1 soap Emmerdale as Andy Sugden, delighting fans.
The actor, 39, posted a message under a social media post shared by the soap’s official account.
The Instagram post shared some teasers of what’s to come and one photo showed Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) becoming aggressive with Sam Dingle (James Hooton) outside the Woolpack.

Kelvin posted a comment insisting that he would return to Emmerdale if Will doesn’t change his ways.
He wrote: ‘If he touches Sam like that again I’m coming back to sort it.’
Fans were quick to spot the message and wrote: ‘Wish you would pal. Needs you back as Andy in Emmerdale, to shake things up a bit! C’mon writers you know!’
‘Well how we would love to see your return to the dales.’
‘Ooo yes come back Andy.’

Kelvin left Emmerdale in 2016 after starring as Andy for 20 years to become a rally driver. The father-of-four is now a farmer.
He has grown up in front of the nation after being cast as troubled foster child Andy in 1996.

The young boy was fostered by Jack (Clive Hornby) and Sarah Sugden (Alyson Spiro) and soon settled into life in the village.
One of his first big storylines was setting a barn alight in an insurance scam to save Emmerdale Farm from financial ruin, unaware his adoptive mother Sarah was inside, who was subsequently killed in the fire.
Andy went on to marry Katie as a teenager, but their marriage failed after she had an affair with his adoptive brother Robert.
In his fury, Andy attempts to shoot Robert, but ended up hitting his father Jack instead.
Andy and Roberts’ rift comes back to haunt them years later when the former re-marries Katie in December 2014.

In 2008, Andy eventually received justice for his part in the fire and Sarah’s death and is sentenced to time in prison.
He weds Jo Stiles (Roxanne Pallett) while in prison, but their marriage doesn’t last long after he started physically abusing her following his release from prison.
Andy is now father to Sarah and Jack Jnr with Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb) after a very complicated on/off relationship.
