Stan releases season finale for mystery-comedy Poker Face
Stan releases finale for its gripping original series Poker Face starring Natasha Lyonne – as the mystery-comedy is renewed for second season
The season finale for the Stan Original series Poker Face is now available to stream.
Natasha Lyonne plays Charlie Cale in the gripping 10-part series, created by Knives Out director Rian Johnson.
Her character uses her finely tuned truth-discerning abilities to investigate a murder, but then becomes the prime suspect after casino boss Sterling Frost Jr. is shot.
The season finale sees Charlie outsmart the men chasing her following Sterling’s death as she goes back on the run.
The mystery-comedy series has received a 99 per cent approval rating from critics on film and TV review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes.

A second season has been commissioned, but no premiere date has been locked in.
The all-star cast also includes Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Benjamin Bratt and Nick Nolte, as well as Australian actress Danielle Macdonald.
The series takes a mystery-of-the-week approach, and Johnson was on hand to write and direct multiple episodes, while Lyonne directed one herself.

Cailah Scobie, Stan’s Chief Content Officer, said the streaming service devised a strategy to commission premium international projects to attract a wider audience.
After the success of its Aussie shows The Tourist and Wolf Like Me, Stan is now in a position to create more high-quality content to be broadcast outside of Australia.
‘Poker Face allows an expansion of our unrivalled lineup of homegrown Stan Originals,’ she said in December.
