Sunrise host Natalie Barr shows off her shocking grubby oven during cooking tutorial

She’s just like us! Sunrise host Natalie Barr reveals her shocking grubby oven during cooking tutorial

Natalie Barr proved she was just like the rest of us on Thursday when she revealed the state of her oven.

The Sunrise star, 55, shared a video to Instagram in which she made a few batches of sausage rolls and some ‘parmesan potatoes’.

As she opened up the oven to show how they were cooking, viewers got a ‘great shot’ of the horrendous mess at the bottom of the appliance.

Large clumps and drips of brown overspill sat in a drip tray beneath three racks of food, proving Natalie was just as lazy with oven upkeep as the rest of us.

The shocking reveal came just moments after the breakfast television co-host revealed her very naughty sausage roll hack.

She said she uses fresh sausage mince in the savoury pastries but rather than get her hands dirty, she puts her local butcher to work.

‘The butcher took the mince out of the sausages and gave me a kilo and I just put in a couple of spices, salt and pepper and white bread,’ she said.

‘Add a bit of sauce and then roll it in pastry and bob’s your uncle.’

She then took viewers through the preparation steps including coating the pastries with egg whites and pricking each with a fork before she put them into the oven.

The Western Australia native added the final stage was to initially cook the sausage rolls ‘a little underdone’ to ensure they were ready to be reheated later on.

‘Then they will be perfect,’ she cheerfully told her followers.

Nat has gained a huge following since she began anchoring Sunrise in 2021, and in addition to food hacks she often shares her wardrobe and makeup secrets with fans.
