Driver killed as car slams into wall in Paddington

The driver was found in critical condition after the horror smash on Ranelagh Bridge at 7.45pm on Tuesday.

Despite the attentions of emergency services he died from his injuries at the scene.

The scene on Gloucester Terrace is still cordoned off as police investigate.

There are no reports of injuries to any residents or pedestrians in the area.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “Enquiries are ongoing to notify his next of kin.

“A scene has been put in place.”
