Leeds vs Tottenham: Premier League preview

ottenham come up against a Leeds side fighting for Premier League survival as they travel to Elland Road on the final day of the season.
For Spurs the end of the campaign can’t come soon enough, with Ryan Mason and his players now relying on favours from Aston Villa if they are to secure a place in the Europa Conference League next season. The caretaker boss has voiced his desire to get the Tottenham job on a permanent basis, but those hopes have faded after another run of poor performances.
Leeds must win if they are to avoid relegation, though even that might not be enough. Victory for either Leicester or Everton would also confirm the drop to the Championship, with Sam Allardyce’s side unable to keep their fate in their own hands in recent weeks.

Leeds vs Tottenham team news
Rodrigo and Patrick Bamford are both doubts for Leeds after picking up injuries in the defeat to West Ham, leaving Allardyce incredibly short up front.
Wilfried Gnonto could start as a result and Brenden Aaronson is pushing for greater involvement, but Luis Sinisterra and Tyler Adams remain out.
It remains to be seen whether Mason and Tottenham stick with the back-four system that worked in the first-half against Brentford but then could not prevent familiar failings appearing after the break.
Cristian Romero and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg both missed that defeat but are pushing to return against Leeds, and Lucas Moura will be keen to make a final appearance for Spurs before leaving the club when his contract expires this summer.

These are not two teams that you can confidently predict will show up and deliver a strong performance, with Leeds deep in the relegation fight and Spurs limping into the summer.
The need is much greater for Leeds and it’s sure to be an incredible atmosphere at Elland Road, but even that might not be enough to drag their side to the three points that are required.
Draw, 1-1.
