Manchester City vs RB Leipzig: Champions League preview and prediction

Despite dominating much of the first leg, Pep Guardiola’s conceded an equaliser away in Germany last month to draw 1-1, and must now finish the job at the Etihad Stadium.

While City remain in the hunt for a treble this season, few would argue that their quality hasn’t slightly slipped. Clearly, they remain better than most teams around but there is an air of fragility about Guardiola’s side this season.

Leipzig, then, will feel more confident than usual about pulling off a shock.

City have a chequered history in this particular competition after all and have often found interesting new ways of elimination.
