Scotland vs England: International friendly – LIVE!

Scotland host ‘Auld Enemy’ England at Hampden Park tonight in a special high-profile match likely to be a friendly in name only. The two historic rivals renew hostilities in Glasgow to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the first-ever match in international football and both teams will feel confident about claiming a statement victory to snatch bragging rights.

The Three Lions may not have been at their best against Ukraine in Poland on Saturday but there is hope, even if this is a friendly, that the sheer emotion this fixture elicits will help Gareth Southgate’s side to raise their game. Steve Clarke’s Tartan Army, meanwhile, have won all five of their Euro 2024 qualifiers so far and could even have their place at the tournament confirmed this evening should events in Oslo between Norway and Georgia go their way.

Clarke has named the same side that beat Cyprus 3-0 in Larnaca on Friday, while Southgate makes six changes from Wroclaw for his team’s first friendly game since March 2022. Follow Scotland vs England live below, with expert analysis from Dan Kilpatrick at Hampden Park.
