Who can Man United face in Europa League quarter-final draw?

A last-16 second leg trip to Real Betis must be navigated first but the Red Devils have built a comfortable three-goal lead as they head to Spain.

It means their chances of being involved in the lunchtime ceremony from UEFA’s headquarters in Switzerland are high, although the same cannot be said for some of their potential opponents.

The Europa League quarter-finals will feature an open draw, meaning any team can face anyone without restrictions on their nation or group-stage opponents.

Real Sociedad edged United in their group but the Spaniards face a two-goal deficit against Jose Mourinho’s Roma in their second leg this week.

Bayer Leverkusen are two up on Ferencvaros while Juventus lead SC Freiburg by a single goal ahead of their return leg in Germany.

Union Berlin and Union Saint-Gilloise are tied at 3-3 and Feyenoord are also level in their tie with Shakhtar Donetsk.

Europa League veterans Sevilla lead Fenerbahce while Arsenal are all square with Sporting CP.

Possible Man United opponents in the Europa League quarter-final draw:

  • Arsenal or Sporting CP
  • Feynoord or Shakhtar Donetsk
  • Sevilla or Fenerbahce
  • Union Berlin or Union Saint-Gilloise
  • Roma or Real Sociedad
  • Juventus or SC Freiburg
  • Ferencvaros or Bayer Leverkusen

The quarter-final ties will be held on April 13 and 20.
