To make the delectable dessert, you’ll need softened butter, pure maple syrup, an egg, vanilla extract, a pinch of salt, plain flour, almond meal, baking powder, and chunky Biscoff KitKats.

Sophie first pre-heated her oven to 160C, fan-forced and then heated 1/4 cup of butter until it softened.

Then she placed the butter and 1/4 cup of maple syrup into an electric mixing bowl and beat it until the two ingredients combined.

Sophie then added in a single egg and a teaspoon of vanilla extract to the mixture and continued to beat it.

Next, she added in 1 1/4 cup of plain flour, 1 cup of almond meal, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and a pinch of salt.

Once the ingredients were all mixed in together, Sophie chopped up chunks of Biscoff-flavoured KitKats and folded them into the batter.

Sophie then recommended chilling the mixture for twenty minutes because it firms up and makes the dough less sticky when it needs to be rolled out.

Then, she rolled spoonful-amounts of dough into balls and placed them onto a baking tray lined with baking paper.

The next step is to gently press down on each cookie and sprinkle a pinch of salt on the tops.

For the last step, Sophie placed the cookies into the oven and baked them for 15-18 minutes.
