Green with envy! Queen Letizia of Spain commands attention as she stuns in printed green dress at event for World Mental Health day

Queen Letizia of Spain looked remarkable in a stylish green midi dress as she stepped out for a World Mental Health day event in Madrid today.

The monarch, 51, commanded attention in the elegant Sandro number which she first debuted in 2018, and has since gone on to wear many times.

Despite its reappearance, the chic dress looked fresh off the runway, and so did the royal, whose trim physique accentuated the dress to perfection.

The outfit was the perfect choice for today’s duties, with the queen presiding over The Institutional Act event in honour of World Mental Health day.

The incredible dress appeared to be sewn with smooth silk and decorated with a fine pattern using multiple shades of green.

While the top half of her dress featured a v-neck cross over style, the bottom half was finished with a pleated design and stopped just short of her ankles.

Ever the busy monarch, Letizia was also spotted with her husband King Felipe of Spain last week as the proud parents watched Princess Leonor take part in her flag swearing-in ceremony.

Their 17-year-old daughter, who is the heir to the Spanish throne and holds the title of Princess of Asturias, appeared regal in military uniform while standing in formation alongside her fellow cadets.

The ceremony at the Military Academy of Zaragoza was presided by her father, King Felipe, 55, who was joined by Queen Letizia.

While the monarch wore his military uniform, his wife opted for a sleeveless blue and black polka dot dress which featured drop hem detailing and a cinched waist.

As per tradition, the ceremony saw Leonor kiss the Spanish flag after swearing an oath of allegiance to her King.

After the Spanish anthem was played, King Felipe reviewed the troops, walking in front of his daughter.

The princess, who will be 18 at the end of this month, had spent all week rehearsing for four hours a day, local media reported.

Her sister, Infanta Sofía of Spain, 16, was notably absent from the event because she is studying at the UWC Atlantic College in the Welsh county of Vale of Glamorgan.

The school is often referred to as ‘Hippie Hogwarts’ thanks to its progressive approach to education and picturesque castle setting.

Leonor’s General Military Academy of Zaragoza, meanwhile, follows a strict timetable during the week, but the princess free to return home at the weekends if she’s not on manoeuvres.
