Two teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was repeatedly stabbed and shot. The 17-year-olds were arrested in Ashford, Kent, on Friday, May 10, before being transported to London.
They were later charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. Both suspects will appear in court later today (Monday, May 13).
Police were called to Whalebone Lane South in Dagenham at about 5.20pm on Thursday, May 2, to reports of a stabbing. Police then received a second call reporting gunfire.

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and found a 19-year-old man, with what appeared to be stab injuries. He was taken to hospital where it was confirmed that he had been stabbed and also shot.
He remains in hospital in a critical condition. His next of kin has been informed.
Five men and a woman, aged between 18 and 25 years old, had previously been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. They have since been bailed pending further enquiries.
