Three robberies in three days took place on South London trains, with one victim left with head injuries. The first theft happened on Tuesday, April 9, at around 7.10pm on board a train from London Bridge.
A 52-year-old man was approached by another man who asked him for the time, then implied he had a knife and demanded his mobile phone. The victim gave it over before trying to retrieve it, but he was hit in the head repeatedly. The suspect ran off the carriage.
The next victim was a 72-year-old the following day (April 10). At around 3.10pm, the pensioner was on a stationary train at London Bridge when the suspect approached him and snatched his mobile.
