3 stabbed during huge fight at North London nightclub with 400 people in it

Three people have been stabbed during a fight at a North London night club. 400 people were inside at the time, and extra police were called to keep the crown under control.

The incident happened in the early hours of this morning in Harbet Road in South Chingford. The conditions of the injured men are not thought to be life threatening.

A crime scene remains in place as investigators search for forensic evidence.

A spokesperson for the Met said: “At around 3am on Monday, July 8, police were called to a large fight and several people stabbed at a nightclub on Harbet Road, N18. Officers attended and found three men suffering stab injuries.

“There were around 400 people present at the club, and additional officers attended to bring the crowd under control. The three men – two aged in their 20s, one in his 40s – were taken to hospital by ambulance.”

They added: “The condition of all three is not believed to be life-threatening. An urgent investigation is under way. There has been no arrest at this early stage.

“A large crime scene remains in place in Harbert Road and the police investigation will involve forensic analysis as well as a trawl for available CCTV.

“Officers are appealing for anyone with information, any witnesses yet to speak with police and anyone who captured mobile phone footage to call the Met on 101 quoting CAD 654/08jul. To remain anonymous, please contact Crimestoppers.”
