A murder investigation is underway after a woman aged in her 20s was found dead in Romford. Police and paramedics were called to Chadwell Heath Laneshortly after 5.30am this morning (Saturday, August 16) to reports of an attack.
The victim was discovered at the scene where she was pronounced dead. Although formal identification has yet to take place, officers believe the victim was in her 20s.
The woman’s family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained family liaison officers.
No arrests have been made so far in connection with the murder, police say. Pictures from the scene show part of Little Heath have been cordoned off, while forensic officers and an evidence tent have also been spotted.
