Now, a third season has been announced which will land in 2026. While an exact release date is yet to be shared, Netflix has revealed what fans can expect from the series.

It is set to follow the newly-formed 2025 squad, from auditions and training camp through to the football season which is just about to kick off. Senior director Kelli Finglass and head choreographer Judy Trammell are also back for the new instalment.

Announcing the new season, cheerleader Charly Barby showed viewers around the dressing room. “Roll call! Who’s all here? Abby’s here, Ariel’s here and Kelly’s here. And you know who else is here?” she teased, spinning around the camera to reveal Netflix’s film crew. “Yup, Season 3 is back, let’s go!”

Fans of the series were quick to flock to the comments under the announcement to celebrate the news, with one eager viewer penning: “Literally my fave Netflix show,” while another shared: “YESSS! Binge watching round 3.”

“Not even been that long since I finished series 2. Can’t wait for series 3,” said a fifth Netflix fan, as another begged producers to: “Please show more rehearsals this upcoming season. Missed seeing the guest choreographers and each team dancing during rehearsals.”

The show’s director Greg Whiteley told Netflix’s Tudum: “The world of D.C.C. is an embarrassment of riches when it comes to stories to be told,” adding: “I’m grateful our crew has another season to keep telling them.”
