Dealer had sock containing 32 bags of cocaine in Weybridge

Police stopped a drug dealer and found him in possession of a sock containing 32 bags of cocaine in Weybridge. Stoyan Kanchev, 25, of no fixed address, was driving when he was stopped by officers on the evening of Thursday, June 19, for a routine vehicle stop due to ongoing drug dealing in the Elmbridge area.

The officers carried out a search of his vehicle and found a sock containing 32 individual bags of cocaine hidden within it, as well as a mobile phone showing messages potentially relating to drug dealing. Kanchev was arrested and pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

He was subsequently sentenced to 21 months at Guildford Crown Court on Thursday, August 21 with his motor vehicle and criminal property to be forfeited and destroyed.
