Chocolate lovers have united after obsessing over a new Snickers chocolate bar flavour that has been spotted in B&M stores across the UK as they’re desperate to try it
Snickers lovers are desperate to try a new flavour of the popular chocolate bar that has been spotted in B&M, but some are having trouble finding the treat in their local stores. The original version of the sweet treat is nougat topped with caramel and peanuts, all encased in a delicious milk chocolate.
The brand is considered one of the best selling chocolate bars in the world, with annual sales reaching over £282.6 million ($380 million), according to Food Republic. It was originally introduced to the wider public in 1930 by Mars Inc, and named after the Mars’ family’s favourite horse. It was initially named ‘Marathon’ in the UK and Ireland, but the name was later changed to Snickers in 1990.
Throughout the decades, there’s been a medley of flavours and special, limited edition releases of the trusty Snickers bar, including a special pecan flavour.
Now, fans are delighted as some eagle-eyed shoppers have spotted a new version of the chocolate bar on the shelves in their local B&M store, and they can’t wait to try it.
The hit food-focused social media page New Foods UK shared a photo of a new coffee-flavoured Snickers bar as they were seen holding three bars in their hand. Instead of the traditional dark brown packaging with the iconic blue, white, and red logo, the package had been changed to a lighter brown colour and had an added coffee mug next to the logo to help show off the new flavour.
“Coffee Snickers spotted at B&M Stores,” they wrote in the caption of the Instagram post, which reached their 373,000 followers.
The bar is seemingly an Australian adaptation of the bar, and is described to have a coffee-flavoured nougat along with the classic roasted peanuts, sweet caramel, and creamy milk chocolate.
Fans quickly took to the comment section of the post to share their thoughts of the new flavour, with many being desperate to try it.
“Need one of these!!!” one person wrote, while another user said: “These are tasty.”
“These are so nice. I really should stop eating them,” someone else wrote along with a laughing emoji. Another person agreed and said: “These actually taste really nice.”
However, another person said: “Interesting not sure how I feel about this.”
“Saw butterscotch ones in my local one too!!” another user shared, with others also saying they spotted an almond and butterscotch flavoured Snickers bar in their local stores.
Some users also shared their frustrations of having trouble finding it in their local stores, with one person sharing: “Couldn’t find them the other day.”
Another person predicted: “Be about 6 months before we see them always takes ages.”
