First photos from scene of North Kensington stabbing show huge cordon and blood splatters

First photographs from the scene of a broad daylight stabbing in North Kensington show a huge cordon in place and blood splatters on the floor. A man was rushed to hospital after being stabbed in Ladbroke Grove yesterday afternoon (Friday, August 29).

Three men, including the man who was injured, have been arrested following the incident. The injured man, aged 24, was found with a stab wound to his hand after police were called to Golborne Road at around 2.15pm. He was taken to hospital before later being arrested on suspicion of affray and remains in custody.

His injuries has been deemed neither life-threatening nor life-changing. Two other men, aged 27 and 25, were also arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and remain in custody.

Forensics can be seen combing the area, with evidence markers and police present. There are two different crime scenes in place – one at Golborne Road, where the stabbing allegedly happened and the other at Chesterton Road, where the victim was seen by medics.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police Service said: “Police were called at 14:15hrs on Friday, 29 August to reports of a stabbing in Golborne Road, W10.

“Met officers attended the scene alongside the London Ambulance Service and the London’s Air Ambulance, where they found a 24-year-old man with a stab wound to his hand. He was taken to hospital where his condition was assessed as neither life-threatening nor life-changing.

“He was later arrested on suspicion of affray and remains in custody. Officers also arrested two men, aged 27 and 25, on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. They remain in custody. A scene is in place while officers investigate the circumstances.”
