Apple is expected to unveil the new iPhone 17 this month, but Samsung’s latest giveaway may persuade shoppers to opt for Android.
Apple looks set to unveil the new iPhone 17 this month, but Samsung’s latest giveaway may just steal shoppers away. Going head to head with its biggest rival, Samsung is now dishing out a free £400 Chromebook with select Galaxy smartphones including the S25+ and S25 Edge.
The deal is available from several retailers including Sky Mobile, with contracts starting at £30 per month. Those taking advantage of the deal can claim a 14” Galaxy Chromebook Go worth £399 with purchases of the Galaxy S25+, S25 Ultra, S25 Edge, Z Flip7 and Z Fold7.
After ordering one of these handsets by October 2, customers can claim their free Chromebook at Samsung’s Galaxy Gift site within 30 days. Among the standout smartphone options are the Galaxy S25+ at £30 per month and £12 upfront.
This also comes with a £126 discount compared to the usual price and has been flagged as an ‘in demand’ product. There’s also the Z Flip7 at £31 per month and the S25 Edge at £39 per month.
Each package comes with 100MB of 5G data as standard, but those seeking a larger data allowance can find options including 50GB for £12 and unlimited for £20. While Sky’s smartphone contracts run for 36 months, customers are able to swap their device after 24 months at no extra cost.

Sky Mobile shoppers purchasing a Galaxy S25+, S25 Ultra, S25 Edge, Z Flip7 and Z Fold7 can claim a free 14″ Chromebook Go worth £399.
The free Chromebook Go is also up for grabs when shopping with Currys-backed Mobiles.co.uk, which offers the Samsung Galaxy S25+ on iD Mobile’s 100GB tariff for £29.99 per month and £149 upfront. However, shoppers opting for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge will also receive a pair of free Galaxy Buds3 Pro worth £179 if they’re happier to pay a little more.
This model – which launched in May – comes on iD Mobile’s 500GB tariff at £35.99 per month and £99 upfront. One caveat to the iD Mobile plans is a price rise each year; the company has already confirmed that customers paying £29.99 per month will see their bills increase to £31.49 from April 2026 and £32.99 from April 2027.
But whether choosing Mobiles.co.uk or Sky Mobile, shoppers can get their hands on the Chromebook Go that boasts a 14” HD LED display, 12-hour runtime and reliable features like a spill-resistant keyboard. The device runs on the Chrome operating system, with 64GB of internal storage and a 720p HD Camera.
Usually priced at £399 when buying direct from Samsung, it’s an ideal device for use at work, school or university.
