A neighbour from hell who hosted daily parties left residents awake until the early hours, but one action led to a sudden change in their party-going plans, and left their usually boisterous parties silent. The neighbour was, according to the person living next door, “evicted” from the property, but how the neighbour left came as a surprise.

Constant calls to the police and security cameras pointed at the house captured everything and gave the anonymous resident enough evidence to pile on the pressure. Their neighbours were eventually “busted” but that wasn’t enough until one bold move from the resident. Since then, there has been no more noise.

Members of the public have since praised the resident for acting on the evidence they had built up with their camera footage. The resident has since explained their horror experience with the loud neighbour, who would host “noisy, drunken parties” under their office window.

They shared to the r/NeighboursfromHell Reddit page: “I called the police, they would do nothing. The NFH retaliated by increasing the noise and holding bigger parties.

“THEN after one of their drunken parties, I heard a loud sound of glass breaking. I checked my security cameras and some guy was smashing their windows with a chair, screaming that he wanted his car keys.

“The next weekend, they had another noisy party, late into the night. I called in another noise complaint on the police non-emergency line. I watched the security cameras and they were screaming and several of them started a fist fight. Then silence. Busted.”

With plenty of evidence backing them, the resident decided to take this to the city attorney (in America), who confirmed the “daily nuisance” was disorderly conduct. The city attorney then said action could be taken against the neighbours, and the landlord.

They explained: “I didn’t want to go after the landlord, he was a victim too. The CA said, ‘That’s what the law is for, landlords who can’t control their tenants must pay a penalty.’ I asked their property manager to abate the nuisance on many occasions, for years, so I agreed.

“I braced myself for their usual holiday blowout party. But instead, there was complete silence. No drunken party for the entire weekend. And the quiet continued.

“There was no sign of the drunks. I had to scroll back through my security camera recordings, and then I saw it: the NFH was carrying a mattress out of the apartment on Sept 1. He moved out quietly, in the middle of the night.”

Members of the public have hailed the victory as a step in the right direction for the neighbourhood. One person wrote: “Justice served! Nothing sweeter than finally getting your peace and quiet after years of nonsense.”

Another added: “That must feel like the biggest relief ever years of chaos finally gone. Glad persistence paid off!”

A third added: “Sweet justice! Nothing beats the sound of peace and quiet after years of chaos.”
