Apple is holding a major ‘Awe Dropping’ launch event in California and the iPhone 17 Air could be the star of the show.
It’s been rumoured for months, now we are finally just hours away from finding out full details about Apple’s new iPhone 17 range. The firm’s big ‘Awe Dropping’ event will kick off from 6pm BST tonight and the star of the show could be an iPhone 17 Air.
As the name suggests, it’s thought this call maker will offer a slimline design that makes it far easier to pop in your pocket, and it could also have one big advantage over its Android rivals.
The latest whispers suggest this device will measure in at just 5.5mm thick. That’s thinner than Samsung’s S25 Edge which is a more meaty 5.8mm.
Full details will be announced very soon but, if all the reports are true, Apple could be about to brag that it now makes the world’s thinnest flagship smartphone.
Other extras on this wafer-thin device could include a more powerful A19 processor, MagSafe charging and a huge 6.7-inch display. A toughned design may also feature in a bid to stop it snapping.
Sadly, there could also be some compromises as well. It’s thought that the Air will get a smaller battery inside which might mean less screen time and may only include a single-lens rear camera rather than a dual or triple lens found on other phones.
Along with the Air, we could also see a new iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro range unveiled.
