His youngest victim was under one
A paedophile was caught with over 600 images and videos of children, including a baby. Trevor Pearce, 63, formerly of Castell Road in Loughton, was caught after the authorities searched his phone and other electricals as part of a punishment when he was convicted of three counts of making indecent photographs of children and one count of possessing prohibited images of children in 2021.
He was made subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) for 10 years, and given a nine-month prison sentence suspended for two years. He was also put on the sex offender’s register for a decade.
But this didn’t phase Pearce who was found to have more than 600 foul images and videos. After he was raided in February this year cops also found undeclared storage devices, deleting his browsing history, and failing to say he was using certain apps, which violated his SHPO.
His youngest victim was under one, and police also found up-skirting shots. On September 3 at Chelmsford Crown Court, 63-year-old Pearce, formerly of Castell Road in Loughton, pleaded guilty to 12 counts of making an indecent image of children, one count of possessing extreme pornographic images, one count of recording an image under clothing to observe another without their consent, and one count of breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
He was remanded in custody and will be sentenced on October 3. Speaking after the pleas, Officer Jai Rivers said: “This case shows the importance of the constant monitoring of those subject to court order conditions. They are there the keep others safe, and Pearce made it clear by breaching these he was willing to exploit the victims in these images.
“Pearce’s excuses and denials in interview were wholly undermined by the evidence we compiled, and left him no option but to plead guilty. We now await his sentencing and work is already underway to ensure the tightest possible restrictions are in place to prevent further offending.”
