Meghan Markle has raised a toast to the return of her ‘beau’ Prince Harry after his four-day visit to the UK saw him reunite with King Charles for the first time in 19 months.

The Duchess of Sussex has been less active on social media than usual during her husband’s trip – only posting once to show her support for his important work with WellChild, a charity supporting severely ill children – and now she’s used her business page to celebrate Harry’s return instead of her personal account.

In the Instagram story, Meghan can be seen pouring two glasses of her brand’s rose wine in the garden. The caption across the screen reads: “When your beau is back in town…”

The message is a subtle shift from Meghan’s recent strategy of posting frequently about her husband and family on her personal page, as she has instead chosen to pay tribute to her husband on her AsEver platform.

The celebratory post on her lifestyle brand AsEver’s Instagram page comes just in time for Harry’s birthday today as he returns home to Montecito, California, to be with his family.

Harry rounded off his trip abroad to visit Ukraine, where he gave a new bombshell interview. In the new behind-the-scenes chat, he insisted he has a “clear conscience” when it comes to the scathing revelations he’s made about his family and revealed his father Charles is now his “main focus”.

Speaking in war-hit Ukraine during his surprise visit, the Duke said: “The focus really has to be on my dad.” It was a reference to his desires in the next 12 months amid recent speculation he and Meghan Markle are considering a return to the UK.

During his lengthy interview with The Guardian, the royal reflected on Spare and his work on Netflix programmes. These, Harry argued, were his and Meghan’s attempts at correcting “one point of view”.

“I don’t believe that I aired my dirty laundry in public. It was a difficult message, but I did it in the best way possible. My conscience is clear,” Harry, who today turns 41, said.

On Wednesday, when asked how the meeting with his father went at Clarence House, Harry said: ‘Yes he’s great, thank you’. The estranged father and son met for tea after months of speculation on whether the pair could reunite during the Duke’s trip. The meeting lasted for 55 minutes.

On the first day of his UK visit, Harry made a cryptic joke about ‘challenging’ siblings as his frosty feud with his brother Prince William rages on. The siblings did not see each other during the Duke’s return to home soil.

Attending the WellChild Awards, the Duke joked and laughed with seriously ill youngsters ahead of a glittering awards ceremony recognising their efforts to succeed and thrive despite life-threatening conditions.

When he chatted to Declan Bitmead, 17 – winner of the inspirational young person 15-18 years award, he quizzed him about family life, asking if he had siblings and the teenager replied he had a younger brother.

“Does he drive you mad?” asked the Duke, and Declan replied “no, we get on fine” – and Harry quipped with a smile “you know what – siblings”.

When told the 17-year-old, from Oxted in Surrey, and his brother went to the same school, the duke said “you’re at the same school, that sometimes makes it more challenging”.
