Lorraine had a bit of a shock when she ordered a new pair of jeans but they turned out to be a “disaster”. They arrived looking totally different to what she expected
We all order online now and again, but sometimes things don’t always look as they appear – as some Shein customers have found out in the past. However, one Shein shopper’s recent story will leave you in stitches, as she admitted her order turned out to be a total “disaster”.
Lorraine, known as bowlorraine on TikTok, recently shared her shopping story online, and it left her and her viewers howling. It just goes to show that sometimes we order things expecting them to look a certain way, but can be left totally gobsmacked when they arrive, as our expectations can sometimes warp our perception of reality.
Opening up about her shopping drama, she admitted she’d never had any issues ordering online with Shein before as she loves the site, but luckily it was something to laugh about. It’s not the first time a customer has failed to spot something before snapping up new clothing online.
In the clip, Lorraine said: “Make sure you do check the descriptions properly. Do you want to see what I got? Lorraine thought oh, a little bit of colder weather is coming.
“Do you know what, because you know I love leggings anyway, but I thought do you know what? I’m going to get some of them, um, jeans on Shein.
“You know the ones with rips in the legs and that? So I found a pair, and I thought they seem cheap enough. I’ll give them a try.
“They had a few rips on each leg and I thought, yeah, they’ll do. They’ll be alright. I’ll still be able to wear flip flops with them, because they’re a little bit frayed at the ends.
“I thought they’re the stretchy waistline, you know like jeggings. Looked at the picture – absolutely stuns huns. Let me show you them.”
Lorraine then revealed the jeans on camera so people can have a good look. On closer inspection, you can see that they aren’t ripped, but instead feature a print.
In other words, the rips are a print, together with the leg picture underneath. The situation left her in hysterics, as she’s seen shouting: “It’s actually a f***ing print of someone’s leg.
“It’s not actually a rip, it’s actually a print. I found it hilarious. Will I send it back? No I won’t. Will they get used? No they won’t, but I found it hilarious.”
Lorraine then signed off by encouraging people to read the description of items before they purchase anything. If you don’t read this, and look at the pictures properly, she said you could risk making the same mistake.
The video has been viewed over 3,000 times since it was shared, and people were quick to comment too. Hundreds were keen to offer their thoughts.
One person said: “I got the flared jeans, and they turned out to be printed leggings, lol.” Another wrote: “As if they printed the leg too. I’m crying.”
A third quipped: “At least you won’t have to shave.” Meanwhile, a fourth commented: “Try them on please, don’t leave us hanging.”
Someone else also chimed in with: “I did the same, haha. Put them in the charity shop – someone else can deal with them.”
