Delays are expected at Stansted Airport this morning following a fire.
Departures were suspended at the hub, a base for Jet2.com, Ryanair and TUI Airways, as security was closed due to a small blaze, which happened at around 3.30am in the Escape Lounge, part of the departure area.
It has since been extinguished but and security reopened at around 6am, a spokesperson said. Despite this, the airport, near Uttlesford, Essex, warned passengers could still expect to face delays due to the backlog of passengers.
