Boy, 17, arrested after another teenager ‘found with knife wounds’

The police received reports of a knife attack

A teenager was stabbed in the arm in West London. Yesterday (Tuesday, September 23), police rushed to Paddington Green to reports of a boy having been attacked with a knife, at about 2.30pm.

There, they found a 16-year-old who was taken to hospital with an arm injury. He was later discharged after his injuries were found to be non-life-changing.

Not long later, a 17-year-old boy was arrested on Edgware Road on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon. He is in custody. Any witnesses should call 101, quoting CAD 3914/23SEP.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at around 2.20pm on Tuesday, September 23, to reports a boy had been assaulted with a knife on Paddington Green. Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service, who treated a 16-year-old boy at the scene for an injury to his arm before taking him to hospital.

“He was later discharged after his injuries were assessed as non-life-changing. A short time after the incident, officers arrested a 17-year-old boy on Edgware Road on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon.

“He remains in custody. Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident to call 101, quoting CAD 3914/23SEP. To remain 100 per cent anonymous or contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
