Wowcher is offering the Echo Dot Fifth Gen in a new promotion that beats Amazon by £25.
Amazon has been undercut with an Echo Dot deal from Wowcher. The latest promotion offers savings up to 38% compared to Amazon’s price tag on the latest Echo Dot Smart Speaker with Alexa.
It means Wowcher customers can pick up an Echo Dot Fifth Gen for £39.99, while Amazon charges up to £64.99 for the kids model. This makes Wowcher £25 cheaper than Amazon, with customers also able to choose from the standard charcoal, white or deep sea blue editions for the same price.
However, these versions come with a slightly lower £15 saving compared to Amazon’s £54.99 offering. It comes ahead of Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days event, which will see prices slashed on thousands of items across October 7-8.
The Echo Dot is Amazon’s own Bluetooth smart speaker designed for quick, cable-free streaming, with this model upgraded with ‘high-clarity vocals and powerful bass’ compared to previous versions. With Dolby Digital Sound, it’s the ideal device for listening to music, podcasts, and audiobooks around the house.
The gadget can be used wirelessly with Bluetooth or Wi-Fi and is compatible with both Apple iOS and Android devices. Another standout feature is hands-free voice control, with users able to speak to Alexa with commands including playing music, receiving news and weather updates, and controlling smart home devices, reports the Liverpool Echo.

Wowcher is offering the latest Amazon Echo Dot smart speaker for £39.99.
Priced at £39.99, Wowcher’s Echo Dot deal presents a budget-friendly alternative to higher-end gadgets such as the JBL Charge 5 (£139.99), though it might not deliver comparable audio performance. Alternatively, there’s Apple’s HomePod Mini Smart Speaker (£99), however, this isn’t compatible with Android handsets.
Wowcher shoppers have given the Echo Dot an outstanding five-star rating following four reviews, with one buyer saying: “Excellent piece of kit, very happy thanks to Wowcher.”
Another said: “Excellent sound quality. Fast delivery.” Nevertheless, one drawback to the Wowcher offer is that customers must fork out a £3.99 postage charge per order. Despite this, another five-star review said: “Brilliant product and fast delivery. Highly recommend.”
The Wowcher deal arrives just days ahead of Amazon’s next major 2025 sales event. The online giant has confirmed its upcoming Prime Big Deal Days event will run across this October 7-8.
Whilst the items in the sale are yet to be confirmed, it is expected to mirror Amazon’s flagship Prime Day sale with reductions across technology, household gadgets, fashion, and beauty items.
As the sale approaches, Amazon has revealed the one requirement all shoppers will need to access the discounts – a Prime Membership. It said: “You’ll need to join Prime to access these exclusive Prime Big Deal Days savings.
“Plus year-round perks including unlimited fast free delivery, streaming entertainment, and exclusive member savings.”
