A man is fighting for his life in A&E after a broad day attack in Wallington. Cops raced to Mollison Drive, Wallington, at about 3.15pm yesterday (Saturday, October 4) to reports of a man having been attacked. He was rushed to hospital where he is currently in a critical condition. There have been no arrests, and the investigation continues.
Photos from the scene show police guarding a taped-off section of Mollison Drive. Other shots show a collapsed police tent, which are used to preserve evidence.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Officers are continuing to investigate a serious assault in Wallington on Saturday, October 4. Police were called to Mollison Drive at around 3.14pm following reports of a man who had been assaulted.
“The victim was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition. Enquiries remain ongoing and no arrests have been made at this stage.
“Please call police on 101 referencing CAD4263/04SEP if you have any information. To remain completely anonymous contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
The London Ambulance Service was contacted for comment.
