People make all sorts of epic finds at charity shops, with a variety of hidden gems just waiting to be uncovered by keen bargain hunters. One woman particularly came up trumps lately after she visited a “posh” charity shop in London, and was left stunned by what she found, as a Gucci bag was waiting for her on the shelf.
Danielle, known as charityshoplife on TikTok, explained she found some absolute gems when she visited the store recently, and one of them was a total steal. When it comes to designer goods, you can find some pretty epic deals at charity shops, and she was left in awe of one particular purchase during her shopping trip.
It’s one of many success stories to do the rounds lately, with various people sharing their shopping experiences online. Meanwhile, others also admit they’ve had some surprises while browsing charity shops too.
In the clip, Danielle said: “Rich people give some crazy stuff to charity shops, so I go charity shopping in wealthy parts of London to find things like this Fendi skirt for £90.00. And, spoiler, I bought a vintage Gucci bag for £50.00.”
Danielle went around the shop to show people what the store had on offer, including Burberry clothes, Celine goodies and YSL shoes. While some things are more expensive than others, she admitted you can snap up some bargains when you’re willing to look around.
Some of the shoes were reduced to around £40.00, and the shop also homed some designer kids clothes too. All in all, if you’d like to create a designer look on a budget, it looks like charity shops may be a good place to start.
She added: “I was also tempted by this Alexander McQueen scarf. It was £75.00, but I’m glad I saved my pennies, because then I spotted this vintage Gucci bag behind the counter.
“I couldn’t see the price, so I asked to have a look at it. [It was] in brand new condition for £49.99. Of course, she came home with me.”
The video has been viewed over 7,000 times since it was shared, and people were left stunned by what the shop had to offer. They couldn’t believe just how reasonable some of the items were.
While not evertything was super cheap, Danielle certainly saw some success. After all, it’s not often you see a Gucci bag priced just under £50.00.
One person said: “The best finds. Could you let us know what stores you went to?” To this, Danielle replied: “These are all the ones in Fulham. They are mainly on North End Road.”
Another added: “That McQueen jacket is absolutely stunning.” A third replied: “Omg, that bag is to die for.”
Meanwhile, a fourth commented: “Do you remember the price for the Burberry set by any chance? I hope it’ll be there on Monday.”
Someone else also thought they’d worked out where the dress she tried on was from, adding: “The green dress was an American dress from the store Target. It was a limited designer collection from 2019.”
