A woman ordered an ironing board on Temu, but was left gobsmacked by what arrived. She said it was one of the worst things she’s ever ordered via the platform, even though she loves shopping there

Lots of people around the world shop online at Temu, but sometimes what arrives at the door can shock them. That’s exactly what happened to one woman when she ordered an ironing board on the shopping platform, and the story has left people in stitches.

If you’ve never heard of Temu before, it’s a Chinese-owned e-commerce marketplace that sells a vast range of products at super low prices by helping shoppers connect directly with manufacturers. Recently, Susie, also known as the Alabama Lotto Lady, shared some of her funniest Temu stories, and one will leave you particularly stunned as it really is so wild.

She recently shared the story on TikTok, and it’s encouraged others to share their shopping tales. As you may expect, it’s not the first time someone has been left howling after experiencing a slight Temu fail.

In the clip, Susie said: “So, are any of you Temu fans out there? I’ve ordered lots of stuff from Temu. I have some beautiful things in my closet that are Temu.

“The worst thing I ever got was I ordered an iron and an ironing board. I put it on Facebook at that time. You may have seen it. The ironing board may have been six inches long and the iron was that small also.

“Anyway, I was the laughing stock there for a few weeks, but then I snuck back and I started ordering a little bit more. But I just love Temu. It’s so cheap.

“If something doesn’t fit, it didn’t cost you anything. Just throw it away. It’s not worth you returning it. I’m sure some of you women have some similar stories, and I would love to hear some of them.”

Since the video was shared, it’s been viewed several times and people were quick to comment. Shoppers shared all sorts of varying Temu stories, while being amused at Susie’s tiny ironing board drama.

One said: “I have ordered lots of clothes from Temu. I have never been disappointed.” Another joked: “I will bring you a bag of stuff that didn’t work, you bring me your bag of stuff that didn’t work.”

A third also replied: “Tons and tons and tons. I have two orders coming now.” Susie’s not the first person to make an online shopping mistake though, as many have shared their Temu fails on social media.

In fact, in recent years, it’s become a bit of a trend. When people accidentally order tiny items, huge items or when something completely takes them by surprise, they often document it in online stories.

After all, when you laugh at something so much, it can be hard not to share it with others. When you order online, it’s vital to check the product details.

The Temu website states: “When you shop on Temu, your orders are safe under the Temu Purchase Protection Program which offers refunds for items that do not arrive, arrive damaged or are not as described. You may be asked to send the item back before your refund can be issued.

“Please note that this amount may not match the full price of the items since sales taxes, shipping, used coupons and credit are taken into account.” Futher information can be found at the website.
