Duchess Meghan has shared two sweet snaps of her four-year-old daughter, Princess Lilibet, at their home in California to mark International Day of the Girl, remarking, ‘the world is yours’

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex rarely share pictures of their two children, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four.

The two Sussex youngsters, who are sixth and seventh in line to the throne respectively, have for the most part been kept out of the bright spotlight – with Harry and Meghan preferring that they enjoy their childhoods in California in private.

However, since Meghan rejoined social media last New Year, in line with the launch of her lifestyle brand As Ever and Netflix series With Love, Meghan, royal fans have been treated to more and more glimpses of Archie and Lilibet.

Though their mother does not usually share images of their faces on her Instagram.

To mark International Day of the Girl, Meghan has shared two sweet snaps on social media of her daughter, Princess Lilibet, in the family’s California home.

The first is a video of the youngster, named after the late Queen’s family nickname, wearing a cream outfit and running enthusiastically across the Sussexes’ immaculate lawn with The Temptations’ song ‘My Girl’ playing over the post.

A photo also included in the sweet tribute to her youngest child shows Meghan holding her daughter’s hand, looking down at the little girl, and beaming.

Lilibet’s red hair is styled half up as she faces away from the camera, inspecting a pond in front of her while wearing a seriously sweet pink outfit.

Meghan captioned the post: “To all the girls – this world is yours. Do everything you can to protect your rights, use your voice, support each other. We will do the same for you.

“It’s your right and our responsibility. Go get ’em girl!” Meghan continued, “Happy International Day of the Girl”.

The post comes just days after Meghan and Harry appeared in New York at the World Mental Health Day Gala hosted by Project Healthy Minds.

The couple were handed the Humanitarians of the Year award at the glitzy event.

While accepting the award, Meghan made a rare comment about her two youngsters and said: “Our children, Archie and Lili, are just six and four years old. Luckily still too young for social media, but we know that day is coming.

“Like so many parents, we think constantly about how to embrace technology’s benefits, while safeguarding against its dangers. That hopeful intention of separation is rapidly becoming impossible.”

Harry and Meghan also led panel discussions about young people and technology whilst in New York.
