Emmanjuel Nyamutenha and Desmond Bonato, both aged 19, were jailed for nine years and six months.

A 17-year-old London boy is among four people jailed after a serious stabbing in Watford. On July 24 last year, a man aged in his 20s was knifed at an address in Brocklesbury Close.

All four attackers pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a knife at the beginning of a trial in Reading Crown Court. The London teen, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was sentenced to six years and four months in prison at the same court on Friday, October 10.

A 17-year-old boy from Kent was handed an identical sentence, while Emmanjuel Nyamutenha of King Georges Avenue, Watford and Desmond Bonato of Raphael Drive, Watford, both aged 19, were jailed for nine years and six months.

Detective Inspector Michael Ball, who led the investigation, said: “The level of violence shown in this incident has absolutely no place in Hertfordshire. The team worked hard to capture evidence and ensure these dangerous individuals are not on our streets for a considerable time.

“I am pleased that the sentences reflect the seriousness of their actions and hope this brings reassurance to the residents of Watford.”
