A ‘police incident’ has closed part of Essex Road, Islington, in both directions. The road is closed from Cross Street to A1200 Canonbury Road (Essex Road Station), after the incident at around midnight.
The nature of the incident is unknown but we have contacted The Met and the London Ambulance Service (LAS) for more information. Essex Road is a busy A road running between Islington Green and Dalston.
The following five London buses are on diversion: 38, 56, 73, 341, and 476.
