The road was cordoned off while police investigated
Two men are in hospital after a brawl in North-West London. The emergency services rushed to Preston Road, Wembley, at about 1.56am today (Wednesday, October 15) to reports of a fight.
There they found two men in their 40s who were taken to hospital with head injuries. Their conditions are not life-threatening or life-changing.
Videos shared on X – formerly Twitter – earlier show the road completely cordoned off. Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or online, quoting CAD 449/15OCT. You can also contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at 1.56am on Wednesday, October 15, to reports of an altercation between a group of men on Preston Road, Wembley. Officers attended, alongside the London Ambulance Service, and found two men in their 40s with head injuries.
“They were both taken to hospital and their conditions are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing. The road has now reopened and enquiries are ongoing.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or online, quoting CAD 449/15OCT. Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 1.58am today (October 15) to reports of an incident at the junction of Preston Road and Elmstead Avenue, Wembley. We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, paramedics in fast response cars and an incident response officer. We also dispatched a trauma team in a car from London’s Air Ambulance.
“We treated two patients and took them to hospital as a priority.”
