Here’s how the skies are shaping up over the next week
Next week is set to be a wet one with forecasters predicting five days of rain. Expect light rain across most of Monday with a smaller chance of rain continuing into Tuesday and Wednesday. From Thursday onwards and into the week after, BBC Weather predicts light rain and breeze.
Temperatures will hover around 15C from the start of the week, dropping off to around 11C at the end. Evening temperatures will be as chilly as 4C. It all sounds a bit miserable, but we can look forward to a burst of light towards the end of the month with some sunny days in the pipeline.
The forecaster writes: “Monday looks to start mostly dry but blustery, heavy showers will drift in from the west through the day, these locally thundery. Fresh winds. Turning mostly dry with variable cloud and just the odd light shower on Tuesday. Breezy. Wednesday is expected to be a settled day with sunny spells. Thicker cloud could develop by the end of the day.”

- Thursday 23rd October: Light rain and a moderate breeze are forecast, with a high of 15°C (59°F) and a low of 10°C (51°F).
- Friday 24th October: Light rain and a moderate breeze are predicted, and temperatures will peak at 14°C (57°F) and drop to 7°C (44°F).
- Saturday 25th October: Light rain and a gentle breeze are expected, with a high of 11°C (52°F) and a low of 4°C (39°F).
