People thinking ahead to Christmas can stock up on ‘worthwhile’ presents that are currently half price
A Tesco worker has shared several new gift sets shoppers can now buy in stores that she says “people will actually like”. With October coming to an end next week, many people will start thinking ahead to Christmas and potentially make a start on their shopping list to help spread the cost of present buying.
Tesco is one retailer among many others across the UK that has already begun selling festive items people can buy for a loved one, including various gift sets. Taking to TikTok, content creator and Tesco Worker Lacey Louise uploaded a video yesterday (October 21) of all the ones she thinks are ‘the best’.
She told viewers: “Tesco has started coming in with the Christmas gift sets, and these are the ones I actually think are worth buying.” In the caption of the video, she added: “Tesco Christmas gift sets that people will actually like.” Text at the start of the video also reads: “Run to Tesco.”
She recommended a range of beauty-themed gift sets, including ‘Charlotte Tilbury-inspired’ items, skincare products like L’Oreal creams, and other little ‘stocking fillers’. Towards the end of the video, she also shared several pyjama sets she described as ‘cute’. All have their own festive patterns and colours, and prices start from £10.
All the gift sets mentioned in Lacey’s video are half price with a Tesco Clubcard, so it may be worth thinking about getting one if you haven’t already to save 50% off. Tesco Clubcards are free to get, and shoppers can get one by registering online, via the Tesco app, or at a Tesco store. The digital version is accessible right away, while a physical card can be requested and mailed to you.
Every half price gift set Lacey recommends
Out of all of Lacey’s suggestions, the ‘most expensive’ gift set Clubcard owners can get for half price is the L’Oreal Paris At Home Glossing Giftset. The set includes four products: a shampoo, conditioner, five-minute lamination rinse-off and a leave-in serum.
Elvive claims the gift set has “four steps to the shiniest hair of your life.” It also claims your hair will have “2x more shine”, “88% more smoothness” and that “hair transformation that lasts up to five washes”. The product description says: “Transform lacklustre lengths. Created specifically with dull hair types in mind, the set visibly enhances shine, strength and softness.”
The second most expensive item on the list is the L’Oreal Paris Hyaluronic Discovery Set, which costs £57 or £28.50 with a Clubcard. The set contains L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Filler Face Serum, Sheet Mask and SPF 50 Cream. The “replumping” routine is designed to “instantly smooth, hydrate and replump the skin in one hour” and “reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles”.
