Harry Potter fans can soak up the magic of Christmas in Hogwarts Hall itself

Harry Potter fans can experience the magic of Christmas in Hogwarts Hall itself as Warner Brothers Studio Tour London announces the return of its much-loved festive season.

Hogwarts in the Snow is the Christmas edition of the studio’s The Making of Harry Potter Experience and it will run from Saturday, November 15, to Sunday, January 18. The event typically lasts arounds three hours and tickets are available for £56, rising to £94 for shuttle travel from central London, while deluxe tours cost up to £250.

The festive jolly will see the spectacular Great Hall of Hogwarts transformed into scenes from the Yule Ball as seen in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. The hall will be bedecked in golden decorations from Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, where visitors can spot a Christmas banquet set up as it was to celebrate the end-of-term feast at Hogwarts.

Christmas trees will loom high over the Great Hall topped by flying witches and inviting fireplaces will be adorned with festive holly, mistletoe, and wreaths.

Elsewhere, visitors can see how the Gryffindor and Slytherin common rooms sets were dressed for Christmas scenes in the film series, with the chance to spot authentic decorations and Christmas cards made by the crew during filming.

The Forbidden Forest will be covered in snow, while Diagon Alley promises to entertain guests with its snowy shop fronts and cobbled stones. The Christmas shop has returned this year to provide visitors with a charming selection of Christmas gifts, souvenirs, and stocking fillers.

Children can learn the methods used by set decorators to create fake snow using three materials, each serving a different purpose on-screen. The visit will end with a walk around the Hogwarts Castle model, which is blanketed with snow, and families are challenged to spot the minuscule snowman figures hidden somewhere new on the model.
