A woman who has amassed a huge following online as a vampire has shared that she has a confession to make about her life in the underworld, and it could change the way fans see her

A woman has admitted that people on social media are obsessed with her life as a vampire – but there’s a catch. With Halloween fast approaching, people are focusing on all things spooky. Whether that’s ghosts, pumpkins, witches, or bats, the list is endless. But there’s one woman who creates TikToks alleging that she’s a real-life vampire, and people believe her.

Briana Rofrano, 39, is a full-time first responder and a part-time author. On TikTok, she’s also a vampire. But, of course, she’s just pretending. However, she’s convinced a whole bunch of people on the social media platform that she’s the real deal, amassing 56.9k followers.

Posting as Sam the Vampire under the username @samthevampire, she alludes to the fact that she may not be a real vampire in her bio, writing: “If it’s satire, why are you afraid?” but doesn’t address that she isn’t a vampire.

So, how did Sam the Vampire become a thing? Briana said: “My niece is actually the one who inspired all of this. She loves vampires and spooky things, so I started making videos for her.

“I had no idea so many people would see them and actually believe I was a real vampire! When it started taking off, I just rolled with it, and Sam the Vampire was born. I’ve had the best time bringing her to life!”

When it comes to the content she makes on the account, she explained that she wanted to “make Sam feel human” because “even though she’s immortal, she’s just like everyone else”.

Briana explained: “A lot of my content is about busting vampire myths; like yes, we can go out in the sun, yes, we can eat garlic, yes, we have reflections, and no, we don’t have to be these scary, perfect creatures like in the movies.

“I love jumping on trending videos and putting a vampire spin on them. I also had Sam talk about her ‘powers’ and how she’s used them, and my live Q&As became super popular because people loved asking about vampire life”.

Briana also shared that she’d thought of a whole backstory for her vampire character, which is so real, people fully believe her on socials.

“Sam’s origin story takes place in 1888. One night, I was walking home and realised someone was following me. I ducked into an alley, but before I knew it, I was knocked out and woke up tied up in an abandoned building. It turned out I’d been attacked by Jack the Ripper himself. He was about to kill me when my maker, Thurstan, showed up and killed him instead. He turned me right before I died, and that’s how Sam the Vampire came to be,” she shared.

Briana said that when people believe she’s a real vampire, she feels a range of emotions. “I feel a mix of things. Some of the comments are hilarious, but sometimes they can be sad. I’ve had people with real health issues beg me to turn them, and that broke my heart because I knew I couldn’t actually help them,” she explained.

“On the other hand, I was really touched by how many people defended me and wanted to believe my story. Whether they were playing along or genuinely convinced, I’ve built an amazing community, and it means so much to me,” Briana said.

She shared that she “never breaks character” on her Sam account because she wants to keep the magic going. She also believes that “anything is possible” when it comes to vampires existing, but she just isn’t one and is playing a character.

In fact, she’s so deep in the Sam the Vampire lore that she’s releasing a book in the Sam the Vampire series. The book is titled ‘Chosen’.
