Meghan Markle has shared a sweet behind the scenes look at her date night with Prince Harry in which they attended the LA Dodgers game.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex got the royal treatment on as they sat in the best seats in the house at Dodgers Stadium to watch their home team take on the Toronto Blue Jays .

The royal couple looked equally loved up and enthralled in the game as animatedly watched the drama unfolding on the pitch, all while donning their team’s merchandise. Now, Meghan has shared a video to her Instagram showing what went on behind the scenes.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Meghan excitedly points at a row of Gold Glove awards in the stadium’s showroom, before she coyly places her hand over her mouth while she nibbles on a hot dog. Harry is then seen shaking his clenched fists as he looks into the camera and joyfully cheers “let’s go”.

The Duchess then also zoomed in on the players during the game, as she showed off their impressive front row seats, which can sell for tens of thousands of dollars.

Meghan and Harry received a wave of backlash over their date night, as they were seated in the front row of the stadium in front of two sporting legends: Former basketball player Magic Johnson and baseball icon Sandy Koufax. Magic is a part-owner of the LA team while Sandy is a four-time World Series winner and Hall of Fame pitcher.

The video comes after a body language expert decoded their date night and how they “showed their true colours”, believing there could be more than meets the eye for their high-profile date.

Judi James believes that while the Sussexes cuddled up with each other as they posed for photos with beaming smiles, they could have been “very aware” of their public image, and may have subtly tried to stage candid photos.

She told the Mirror : “Meghan clearly slides over to cosy up to her husband for specific photos, curling in to register high levels of affection. There are hints that the pair were very aware of their visual image here though.

“In one pose they appear to be engrossed in the game, with Meghan’s fingers up over her mouth and both staring ahead. The people behind them show contradictory poses though, appearing to be chatting and milling around as though this is not a defining moment on the pitch.

“The couple might have been watching the big screen though to see if their images went up to judge the reception of the fans here.”

Despite their possible staging during the game, Judi said that the Sussexes clearly enjoyed themselves at the exhilarating game, while also seemingly enjoying the attention of being front and centre.

She said: “While many celebrities prefer to watch their sport in virtual anonymity from the back rows, Harry and Meghan preferred to enjoy as high a profile as possible by sitting in the front row here, ahead of iconic stars of the game who were seated behind them, making themselves human catnip for camera attention on this baseball ‘date night’ in LA.”
