Police surround West Drayton home after man ‘barricades’ himself in property

Police surrounded a West Drayton home after a man “barricaded” himself inside the property. Officers rushed to the scene on Winchester Avenue at around 4.09pm on Thursday (October 30) after reports of a standoff.

A 44-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of breaching a non-molestation order and criminal damage. He remains in police custody, while further enquiries are carried out. There were no reported injuries. The man was alone inside of the property.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police Service said: “Police were called on Thursday, October 30 at 4:09pm to Winchester Avenue, West Drayton following reports a man had barricaded himself inside a residential address.

“Met officers attended the scene and safely escorted the man from the property. A 44-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of breaching a non-molestation order and criminal damage.

“He remains in police custody pending further enquiries. There were no reports of any injuries. He was alone within the property.”
