ITV bosses are said to be ‘thrilled’ at reports one star is set to enter the jungle

Jack Osbourne, the youngest son of Sharon Osbourne and the late Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne, is reportedly set to join the cast of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!. This comes just four months after the death of his father, Ozzy, who passed away in July at the age of 76.

According to a TV insider who spoke to The Sun newspaper, Jack has received full support from his mother Sharon, 73, and sister Kelly, 41, to participate in the ITV Australia-based jungle survival show, which kicks off on November 16.

The source revealed: “He is believed to be going into the jungle with the full support of his mother and his sister Kelly. Jack is very likely to discuss Ozzy, which will be an incredibly moving moment for the campmates and for viewers and Ozzy’s fans.”

The source added: “I’m A Celeb bosses are thrilled to have bagged Jack. He’s been a star in his own right since shooting to fame on The Osbournes 23 years ago.”

Jack, who first dipped his toes into reality TV in the early 2000s with his family’s MTV fly-on-the-wall series, The Osbournes, would join a host of famous faces if he took part in I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!

Among those rumoured to be joining him is Spandau Ballet band member Martin Kemp, 64, who is reportedly in advanced talks to do the programme.

Speaking about the star, whose son Roman Kemp participated in I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! in 2019, an insider told The Mirror: “Martin is a household name, having been top of the hit parade with Spandau Ballet in the 80s and then in EastEnders in the early 2000s – he’s a great signing and everyone is very excited at the prospect of getting him Down Under.”

In other news, 29-year-old boxer Conor Benn, whose father Nigel Benn, a former world champion fighter, appeared on the show’s first series in 2002, could be heading to Australia. Despite being scheduled to rematch his arch-rival Chris Eubank Jr, 36, on November 19 before the series begins, it’s said that Conor is eager to take on both challenges.

A TV insider revealed to The Sun: “The logistics are a challenge given how close the match is to the start of the jungle, but ITV and Conor are keen to make this happen if they can.”

One possibility could be for Conor, who lost to Eubank Jr on points in April, to join the jungle as a late campmate.

The source continued: “Conor’s profile has soared due to the intense rivalry between him and Chris Eubank Jr. Obviously, Conor’s main priority is the fight. But with his great physique, he is also likely to provide the show with this year’s male pin-up.”

They added: “I’m A Celeb bosses think he’ll make a great addition to the camp. One option is that he goes in as a late entry.”

Rapper Aitch, 25, Emmerdale’s Lisa Riley, 49, EastEnders’ Shona McGarty, 33 and LBC broadcaster Nick Ferrari, 66, are all rumoured to be joining this year’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!

An ITV spokesperson has declined to comment on any of the names associated with the programme.
