King Charles III is set to lead the nation in a two-minute silence this morning to honour those who lost their lives in conflict. He will be accompanied at the National Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph in London by other members of the Royal Family.
About 10,000 veterans are set to participate in this year’s Royal British Legion march-past. This year’s event will mark 80 years since the end of the Second World War, and about 20 WW2 veterans will be attending.
Last night, the King, Queen Camilla, the Princess of Wales, and Prince George attended the Festival of Remembrance at London’s Royal Albert Hall. The Prince of Wales was not in attendance as he was travelling back from the COP30 summit in Brazil.
