Alana found out her son’s nursery were trying what she described as ‘psych experiments’ on the children after asking her Google device to play Mr Blue Sky
A mum found out what the staff at her son’s nursery had been doing after listening to a song at home. Many parents in the UK don’t often get a look behind the front door of their child’s nursery due to safeguarding restrictions that are in place.
Other than the odd stay and play or video and picture updates received from your child’s key worker, you don’t get to see what your child’s life looks like. Alana, a stay at home mum in her 20s, posted on her TikTok account, where she uploads videos under the handle, @alanas.life, to explain how she found out what was happening at her son’s nursery.
She explained how she recently found out her son’s nursery had been using Pavlov’s dog conditioning on the children. Pavlov’s dog conditioning is a learning process where humans or animals have an involuntary response that becomes associated with a new sound.
In Alana’s son’s case, the nursery was playing Mr. Blue Sky by Electric Light Orchestra while asking the children to tidy up the playroom.
Alana said: “I recently found out my son’s nursery have been doing like, Pavlov’s dog conditioning on all the kids.
“Let me show you.”
The mum then asked her Google device to play Mr. Blue Sky before turning the camera around to show her son.
The video showed her son frantically tidying away his wooden train track, along with vehicles, into a small basket while the song plays.
The mum said: “[It] took him three minutes to tidy his train set, all on his own. No complaining!”
Other parents commented on the video to say they would love their child’s nursery to do this, with one adding they would “pay extra” for it.
One user said: “Wouldn’t even be mad tbh.”
A second added: “I would pay extra for this.”
A third penned: “My kids nursery used the tidy up song and honestly as soon as I played it at home they just went into automatic mode. Brilliant.”
One user joked: “Don’t tell him but tell his future partner. That song will hit him like a sleeper cell.”
