A lorry driver has died on the M25 after he reportedly went into cardiac arrest. The motorway was closed by police anti-clockwise near Egham, Staines, between Junction 13 and Junction 12, due to the emergency incident at 3.50pm today (Monday, November 10).
Paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) attended. A spokesperson said: “We were called to reports of a lorry driver in cardiac arrest on the M25 near to Junction 12 at Egham. Ambulance crews were joined by the Fire & Rescue Service at the scene. Sadly, despite the best efforts of everyone involved, the man died at the scene.”
The M25 was shut anti-clockwise for about an hour as emergency services attended. National Highways set up a diversion route with drivers warned of 60 minute delays anti-clockwise and 45 minutes clockwise.
