One man was being driven around London by a friend when they got stuck in traffic. However, the situation got a whole lot more exciting when they spotted a huge star was next to them
Few experiences prove more frustrating for drivers than finding themselves stuck in a traffic jam. However, one man got the surprise of his life when he spotted a famous face whilst stuck in gridlock. Tosin Sokoya, known on social media as @tosin_sokoya, posted clips on his channels showing himself being driven around by a mate. But the YouTuber got far more than he bargained for when he peered through the window to see none other than David Beckham.
Tosin and his friends couldn’t contain their excitement upon noticing the former England star pulled up alongside them whilst crawling through London traffic.
The content creator started filming through the vehicle’s open window, with David clearly aware of the commotion he’d caused as he’s seen looking across and smiling from his driver’s seat.
Tosin and his two companions repeatedly shout: “No!” at the incredible celebrity sighting, with one of them exclaiming: “No, bro, no way – seriously though?!”
Tosin then tries to convince David to rev his motor, though Beckham politely declines, joking that he is “too old to rev anything”.
The encounter lasts just around 30 seconds, but the lads remain buzzing, with Tosin asking, “Crazy, what the hell just happened?! ,” as the traffic lights change and they each go their separate ways. Tosin simply captioned the post with “Big 7!”, a nod to Beckham’s iconic number 7 shirt he wore for Manchester United and England.
The post quickly went viral, racking up over 64,000 likes.
One user commented: “This is brilliant,” while another quipped: “Not the rev request.”
A third chimed in: “He’s a Londoner, true gentleman and can walk around unbothered in public… decent family man too.”
Meanwhile, a fourth added: “He’s such good vibes! Love his response to seeing you. So humble.”
The post caught the internet’s attention just before Beckham was knighted by King Charles in a ceremony at Windsor Castle earlier this month.
The 50-year-old, who was born in London, described the honour as “my proudest moment” as he attended the ceremony with his wife – now Lady Beckham – and his parents, Ted and Sandra. Beckham was recognised for his contributions to sport and charitable causes.
Reflecting on the day, he said: “Today has been such an emotional day – more emotion than nerves, in all honesty. There have been a few tears and a lot of emotion. “It’s been a very special day.”
