A woman has opened up about the embarrassing moment when she was planning to ask a guy for his social media username, only to realise the big mistake she’d made.
Dating can be overwhelming, especially with people on dating apps often not turning out the way you expected them to be if you do decide to go out with them. Because of this, more and more people these days are taking the opportunity to speak to people they find attractive when out and about, in the hopes of finding a future partner. But just like the apps, it might not always end up the way you’d expected.
This was the case for Katie Boggs, an American who is currently living in Barcelona with her boyfriend. While she often takes to Instagram to share cute videos with her Spanish partner and the culture clashes that sometimes happens between them, she also isn’t afraid to share her embarrassing blunders.
In one video, before she met her current partner, Katie has shared the moment she got confused on her visit to PortAventura theme park in Tarragona, Spain, where she was gathering up the courage to ask out a guy that had caught her eye.

In the video, she was seen posing to the camera with a man looking around the crowded floor from a balcony further up in the room. However, as the man zoomed in on the man, in quickly became that he was a robot.
“If you wanna feel better about yourself, just remember I was gonna ask for this guy’s Instagram and then I got closer and realised he’s a robot,” she wrote on the video, which ended with Katie taking a selfie with the robot standing behind her.
People quickly flocked to the comment section of the hilarious video, which has gone viral and received more than 771,300 likes. Several viewers also took to the comment section to share their thoughts on the unexpected twist.
